Hot on the heels of spectacular seasons from Francisco Lindor and Jose Ramirez, the Cleveland Indians have officially clinched a postseason berth for the third season in a row. Just two years removed from losing in Game 7 of the World Series against the Chicago Cubs, the Indians will look to secure the team’s first World Series championship since the Harry Truman administration.
If you’re a die-hard supporter of the Tribe who’s looking to secure tickets for this year’s playoffs, you’ve probably begun trying to figure out how to do so. Fortunately for you, we’ve compiled a list of all of the different ways that you can score your perfect pair of seats for any Indians playoff game.
Purchasing 2019 Season Tickets
The first option on our list is easily the least economical way to secure your postseason seats, but it is a surefire way to get tickets. If you purchase season tickets for the 2019 campaign through the Indians website, the team will guarantee you the option to buy postseason tickets. Season ticket holders are also given first access to tickets for the 2019 MLB All-Star Game, which will be held in Cleveland next summer.
The Indians Postseason Ticket Purchase Opportunity
While perhaps they could have come up with a catchier name for their system, Indians fans are able to register online to receive postseason tickets through the team’s “ticket purchase opportunity” before they go on sale to the general public. For this particular method, you have to fill out a form online and submit a refundable $50 deposit in order to register for a chance to purchase postseason tickets. You are not guaranteed to get seats through this method.
One thing worth mentioning is that the registration period for the ALDS ticket drawing has already come and gone. However, if you’re interested in trying to get tickets to the ALCS and World Series should the Indians advance that far, you can still do so through the website listed above. Registration for the ALCS ends on October 4, with a drawing set to take place around the 8th of October.
Once the presales have concluded, fans may purchase tickets on general sale through the Indians website, over the phone at (216-420-HITS) or via the team’s box office. The team’s box office is open from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. on Monday through Friday.
Should you strike out in the team’s official ticket opportunity and in the general sale, or if you just want to buy your tickets hassle-free, SeatGeek’s got you covered.
