With a conference that features Kansas, Kansas State and Oklahoma State – all nationally ranked – the Big 12 is another powerhouse conference in men’s collegiate basketball, much like the ACC and Big East. Depending on how the tournament brackets shake out, fans may end up seeing some intense rivalries, such as Kansas-Kansas State, Oklahoma-Oklahoma State, Texas-Oklahoma State and several others. The potential match ups are exciting to anticipate and should lead to great March Madness basketball action in Kansas City.
This year’s tournament kicks off this coming Wednesday, March 13 with West Virginia taking on Texas Tech. It will run through Saturday, March 16, when the championship game will take place at 5:00 pm at the Sprint Center and will be televised on ESPN.
