Cam Newton picked up his third major college football award on Thursday night. Cam Newton has racked up quite an impressive list of awards to date; the Maxwell Award (best NCAA player), the Walter Camp Award (player of the year), and the Davey O’Brien Award (best NCAA quarterback). The most prestigious of the college football awards, The Heisman Trophy, has yet to be announced.  Cam Newton is the clear favorite according to the majority of college football analysts and in just over 24 hours we will find out if they are correct. At the College Football Awards media session on Wednesday LaMichael James said, “I would vote for him twice” when he was asked if he would vote for Cam Newton. If one of the other Heisman candidates would vote for Newton, you would think so would everyone else.

If Cam Newton does win the Heisman, how do you think it will impact his performance in the BCS National Championship game against LaMichael James and the Oregon Ducks?  Let us know in the comments or on Twitter @SeatGeek.
