Winning Drives Up Demand to See Cleveland Indians
With more than half the season over, few would have predicted the Cleveland Indians to have the best record in the American League. And with success comes demand, as the Indians have suddenly become one of the hotter tickets in all of baseball.
At this time a season ago the average Indians ticket was reselling for $37, which put them 22nd in all of baseball. This season the average Indians ticket is reselling for $49 – an increase of 32 percent – which ranks them 15th in baseball. If you look at only tickets sold in July, the Indians move up to fifth, with an average resale price of $62.
