Alabama Crimson Tide and the Clemson Tigers are facing off at this year’s College Football Championship, with the game taking place Monday, January 9 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL.

Right now on SeatGeek, the average resale price for the championship game of $1,125. As a comparison, at this point last year the championship game had an average resale price of $1,126, so almost identical to this year. However, that game ended up with an average resale price of $607, a pretty significant drop.

Due to the convenient location of the game, there will likely not be a similar price drop this year. Both schools are within a 10-hour drive, and have fanbases that extend even closer.

Currently, South Carolina is leading the pack in terms of shopping, as 28 percent of ticket sales have come from the state. Florida comes in at 13 percent, followed by North Carolina (also at 13), plus Georgia (11 percent) and Alabama (seven percent).
