Cuba World Baseball Classic Players

Cuba enters the World Baseball Classic with a relatively unknown roster of talent to the outside world but one that is sure to give the rest of Pool A a challenge, given the rich history of baseball in the nation. In 2006, Cuba was runner up to Japan in the World Baseball Classic.

Led by Victor Mesa as the manager, Cuba will play in Pool A along with Brazil, China and Japan. Their first round game action will take place on March 3 versus Brazil, March 4 versus China and March 6 versus Japan. All games will take place at Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome in Fukuoka, Japan.
