Racers, and Zac Brown Band, Gear Up for the Daytona 500
Daytona 500 Race
The Daytona 500 is a motor race that’s been tickling the hearts of NASCAR fans since 1959. Held annually at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, FL, it’s a 500 mile-long stretch that’s part of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. It’s often regarded as the most important and most highly regarded race in the sport, and not just because it’s held in the same place where MTV shoots Spring Break. Do they even still do that anymore? Regardless, the Daytona 500 is the first race of the Sprint Cup series, which probably explains why the television ratings for the auto race are the highest out of any in the sport (even the Indy 500).
