Detroit Lions 2012 Preview
The Detroit Lions are arguably one of the best young teams in the NFL right now. Last year they went 10-6 in a complete turn around for the franchise as it was the first winning season since 2000. They lost in the first round of the playoffs to the New Orleans Saints but the future is bright for football in Detroit.
The offense is led by the huge arm of quarterback Matthew Stafford, who threw for over 5,000 yards last season. With probably the best wide receiver in the game today, Calvin Johnson, Nate Johnson also at wide receiver and Kevin Smith at running back, the offense can put up some big numbers. On defense, the central figure is Ndamukong Suh, who despite being a controversial player due to his hard hitting, has been named to the First Team All Pro in both of his years in the league.
