Fedor, Fedor Fedor. It is a name that has left MMA fans in awe over the last decade and left opponents in fear (and ultimately knocked out come fight time…). Fans would wait eagerly for Fedor’s next fight to be announced – which was often an agonizing and frustrating period with him being signed to M-1 Global and having to negotiate cross-promotions. However, coming off losses to Fabricio Werdum and then Antonio Silva in the first round of the Strike Force Heavyweight Grand Prix, I can’t help but wonder if fans still care about when the next Fedor fight is. Do you? Although I have certainly been disappointed of late, I still want to see this legend on Strikeforce cards.

Fedor Emelianenko – Next Fight Scheduled
It was just Announced that Fedor will fight the currurent Light Heavyweight Champion and holder of one of my favorite knockouts of all time over Bisping at UFC 100, Dan Henderson.
- Date: July 30, 2011
- Hoffman Estates, Illinois (Northwest of Chicago)
- Venue: Sears Centre
Fedor’s Next Fight to be vs Dan Henderson
There have been many rumors over the last few months as to the next fight Fedor would book or if he would even come back at all (there was some uncertainty for a few days following the Last Emperors surprising loss at the Grand Prix). Well fans can now rest assured that this legend will be back inside the cage and against a top notch opponent. In my mind this is going to be a truly tough fight for Fedor,
as Henderson is currently the the 7th ranked light heavyweight in the world. Even though Henderson is stepping up to meet Fedor in the heavyweight class for this bout (according to promotion, but really a catchweight bout at 220), Emelianenko is not a true heavyweight and I don’t foresee size being too much of a factor. Who do you think will win this fight? Will Fedor be extra motivated following his 2 fight losing streak? Will Henderson be comfortable banging with Fedor at 220 pounds? Either way this should be a great fight and, despite some scheduling issues, another great 2011 promotion for now Zuffa owned Strikeforce.
