In just a handful of days, one of the most anticipated matchups in all of college football will take place when the University of Wisconsin is set to travel to the Big House to take on the University of Michigan.

Both teams have gotten off to a bit of a rocky start so far in 2018, as they two of them have already lost one of their first four games played. However, this means that the stakes for this game – which were already high in the first place – have increased significantly, as both teams know that their Big Ten title dreams could fade away with a second loss so early in the season.

Given the fact that Wisconsin and Michigan are ranked #16 and #15 in the country respectively, this should be a fantastic game to watch for any college football fan. Let’s preview this marquee matchup.

When and where is Wisconsin vs. Michigan set to take place?

The showdown between the two Big Ten teams is set to take place on Saturday, October 13 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, MI. Michigan Stadium is known to most by its nickname, “The Big House.” The game is set for a 7:30 P.M. kickoff time as the two teams will have the pleasure of playing under the lights in Michigan’s first night home game of the season.

The Big House, as you probably could surmise, is one of the highest capacity sports stadiums around as it sits over 107,000 raucous fans.

Game predictions for Wisco @ Michigan

Over the past two seasons, Wisconsin and Michigan have played each other twice, with the home team prevailing in each contest. Michigan has dominated this matchup historically, winning 50 out of the 65 games played since 1892. Led by sophomore running back Jonathan Taylor, the University of Wisconsin has one of the best rushing attacks in the country, which should serve them well in an important away game where crowd noise is sure to be a factor. Taylor has rushed for the sixth-most yards out of any player in FBS this season, averaging 6.1 yards per carry, and the Badgers as a whole average over 260 yards per game on the ground. If Wisconsin are to win on October 13, it will surely be their ground game that carries them to victory.

Despite the praise we just gave for Wisconsin’s rushing attack, we’re predicting that the Wolverines will take care of business at home. The home field advantage that Michigan receives at the Big House is one of the best in the nation, and statistically, they’ve had the best defense in the country so far in 2018. This game will likely be low-scoring, which suits Michigan well as they also have a talented running back in senior Karan Higdon.
