Wizards See Record-Breaking Ticket Prices for Tonight’s Game
At an average price of $197 on the resale market, tickets to Warriors at Wizards this evening are not only the most expensive Wizards game this season, but the most expensive Wizards home game on the secondary market since at least 2010.
This is one of the hottest tickets ever for a single sporting event at the Verizon Center – edged out only by two 2012 Capitals playoff games and a 2013 NCAA Basketball Regional Final. That makes this Warriors-Wizards matchup the Verizon Center’s most in-demand regular season game ever.
Tickets to Warriors at Wizards
Last season, Washington residents could have seen the eventual NBA champion Warriors at the Verizon Center for a February 24, 2015 game at an average resale price of $91, which is less than half of what fans will pay for this season’s tickets.
The current “Get In” price (cheapest ticket) for this game is $110. That’s higher than the average resale price for every Wizards home game this season other than the two marquee matchups against LeBron James and the Cavaliers ($144 on 1/6 and $178 on 2/28) and a Lakers game featuring Kobe’s last appearance in Washington ($137 on 12/2).

This $197 average resale price to see the Warriors is higher than that for every Redskins home game this past season, other than the team’s Wild Card Playoff Game against the Packers on 1/10, which went for an average resale price $226.
