The New York Yankees open regular season play on March 28th against the Baltimore Orioles at Yankee Stadium. That marks the beginning of what should be an exciting year for the team from the Bronx. Looking to build off 2018’s 100-win campaign, the Yankees will certainly have some phenomenal matchups throughout the year.
Here at SeatGeek, we have tickets for every one of the team’s 162 games this year, so let’s take a look at a few that you’ll want to mark down on your calendar.
San Diego Padres @ New York Yankees
Monday, May 27
You won’t find too many better opportunities to see a bunch of homers than when the San Diego Padres come to town. With slugger Manny Machado in a Padres uniform, he’ll certainly provide excitement throughout this three-game series. And, of course, there’s New York’s Aaron Judge, who can knock them out of the park on any given at-bat. This is a series you won’t want to miss.
New York Mets @ New York Yankees
Monday, June 10
The Subway Series between the Mets and Yankees gets underway on this Monday night. This will be the first of two games at Yankee Stadium, while the final two games of the Series will take place at Shea Stadium in July.
Houston Astros @ New York Yankees
Friday, June 21
Two-thousand-and-eighteen featured three American League teams that won 100 or more games. In this summer series, you’ll see two of them–Houston and New York–face off at Yankee Stadium. Both teams were phenomenal last year, and should each vie for the pennant in 2019, making this four-game series a must-see.
New York Yankees @ Boston Red Sox
Sunday, June 30
It’s a long season, one that’ll feature a lot of opportunities to see the historic Red Sox-Yankees rivalry. However, if you’re hoping to see these two ball clubs square off in beautiful Fenway Park on a summer afternoon, you’ll want to get tickets to this two-game series.
Colorado Rockies @ New York Yankees
Friday, July 19
Yankee second baseman DJ LeMahieu’s former ball club, the Rockies, come to town for a three-game series in the middle of July. This should shape up to be a fun Interleague series featuring some hurt feelings on the Colorado side due to LeMahieu’s exit this offseason. Don’t miss this one.
