Los Angeles Kings vs. San Jose Sharks Eastern Conference Semis Preview
It looks like the Western Conference Semifinals in the NHL will once again feature a battle of California as the Los Angeles Kings take on the San Jose Sharks this coming week in a best-of-seven series. The Kings, reigning Stanley Cup Champions, beat out the St. Louis Blues in six games after falling behind 2-0. They take aim at the San Jose Sharks, who impressively swept the Vancouver Canucks and who have made quite a statement in these playoffs to date.

The Sharks are led by Joe Pavelski and Patrick Marleau with Antii Niemi as the goaltender, currently with a .937 goals against average in these playoffs. The Sharks are a hungry team and many see similarities between them and last year’s championship Kings team. We’ll see if they can win this battle of California first.
Game 1 is set to kick off this coming week at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
