LeBron James has another trophy to add to his mantle at home. James, who already won the NBA’s Most Valuable Player Award in 2009, 2010 and 2012, was once again awarded the MVP for the 2012-2013 season. With the recognition, James joins an elite group as only the fourth player in NBA history to win four MVP awards. Who are the others in that group you might ask? None other than Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Wilt Chamberlain – four of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball. James also became the youngest ever to accomplish that feat after leading the Miami Heat to a 66-16 record, best in the NBA – a record that included a 27 game winning streak, which was the second longest in NBA history.

James came very close to becoming the first ever unanimous MVP selection, with 120 of 121 votes. He beat out Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, who finished in second place in the MVP voting and Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks, who finished third and who also received the other first place MVP vote.
On the court, he averaged 26.8 points, a career-high 8.0 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game all while shooting a career-high 56.5 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from 3-point range.
