The Mexico National soccer team will close out its five game tour of the United States this Sunday. Their final US game will be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington against the Brazil National team. Though the 80,000 seat venue has already sold out there are still tickets available on the secondary market, where they are selling for an average price of $129.09.

Most Expensive Mexico Soccer Game on U.S. Soil

Tickets to the international friendly are proving to be the most expensive in a number of categories. They are the most expensive when compared to the other games El Tri has played this year in the US. Average ticket prices for their games played in New Jersey, Miami, and Houston didn’t even break the $100 mark. For example, tickets to the game at New Jersey’s Metlife Stadium between Mexico and Wales averaged $88.49 – or 31% lower than the average ticket price for Sunday’s game against Brazil.

Tickets to this weekend’s game will also be the most expensive for a soccer match at Cowboys Stadium. The next closest games in terms of average price were the FC Barcelona – Club America match last August ($99.59) and Mexico’s Group A games in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup last June ($84.79).

An estimated 5,100 tickets have changed hands on the secondary market for Sunday’s game. This represents a substantial jump in interest surrounding El Tri – a nine-fold increase in ticket transaction volume as compared to their game against Wales this past weekend. Sunday’s game has generated 14 times more transaction activity than Mexico’s game against Venezuela earlier this year in Houston.

Ticket Prices

Due to the sheer size of Cowboys Stadium, fans have plenty of choices when it comes to ticket options for the game. As you might expect, the closer you want to be to the action, the more your ticket is likely to cost. Seats at the 100 Level tend to be the most expensive, with an average price of $170.75. At the 200 Level ticket prices average $150.47, while 300 Level seats are going for an average price of $118.17. The best deals can be found on the highest level of the stadium, where tickets in the 400 Level sections are averaging $83.23 – over 50% lower than the cost of 100 Level tickets.

The cheapest way into the game is to purchase a Standing Room Only ticket, which can currently be had for as low as $65. Those looking for the lowest priced reserved seat can get a ticket in Section 460, Row 1 for $128. On the higher end of things, tickets in Section 109, Row 1 are available for $469. On the extreme end of things, some online sellers have asked for as much as $9790 for Hall of Fame Suite tickets to Sunday’s game.
