OPENING DAY – March 31, 2021

⚾️ March 31, 2022 – Rangers vs Yankees

Joey Gallo’s return to Texas on Opening Day – Joey Gallo spent seven seasons with the Texas Rangers before being traded to the New York Yankees right before the trade deadline in 2021. He was a fan favorite in Texas due to his elite power at the plate and strong defense. His return to Texas will be an exciting time for not just Gallo and Texas, but for baseball fans in general.

 

⚾️ March 31, 2022 – Guardians vs Royals

Cleveland debuts new team name – The Cleveland Indians changed their name for the first time since 1915, and will debut their new rebrand, the Cleveland Guardians, on Opening Day. The name references the Guardians of Traffic, an art sculpture that is on the Hope Memorial Bridge, across the way from Progressive Field.

ALL STAR GAME – July 19, 2022 in Los Angeles, CA

⚾️ July 21, 2021 – Dodgers vs Giants

First and only game after the All Star Break on this day –  These two teams have had a long-standing rivalry, and they will be the only two teams playing this night after the All Star break. Both teams will likely be neck and neck all season in the NL West, and it will be a big focus for baseball fans that night.

 

⚾️ July 31, 2021 –Angels vs Yankees

Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels visit the New York Yankees – Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout, arguably the best two hitters in baseball, visit the New York Yankees on July 31st. In their careers vs the Yankees, Ohtani has a 1.035 OPS, while Trout has a 1.067 OPS. It will be a must-watch series.

 

⚾️ September 30, 2021 –  Padres vs White Sox

Fernando Tatis first game against former orgFernando Tatis Jr, who is one of the main faces of baseball at this point, was originally signed as an international free agent by the White Sox back in 2015. The following year, he was traded to the Padres before he had even played a professional game. This will be his first time playing against his former organization since he was traded at just 17 years old.
