MLB Rosters & Lineups for 2013

As we approach the start of Spring Training, with pitchers and catchers reporting to either Florida or Arizona, we welcome the pending start of the 2013 MLB season. The crack of the bat, the pop of the glove and sunshine is just what the doctor ordered to get you through the doldrums of winter. If you’re a huge baseball fan like myself, you probably wish you can be in warmer weather to take in some baseball or, if you are lucky enough, are heading to either locale to see what your favorite team has to offer as they shape their rosters for the 2013 season.

MLB Rosters for 2013

We here at SeatGeek are looking forward to the 2013 season as well and to do so, we will build upon the comprehensive look we provided earlier in the month on team-by-team schedules, by taking an in-depth look at each team’s lineups and rosters. Now, one caveat as baseball fans know is that the free agent signing period is still under way, so the full rosters will not be set with notable free agents out there without a team. And as for lineups, one of the main focuses of Spring Training is for teams to evaluate talent and assess holdovers from last season in order to determine the optimal mix of talent for the roster and to start to shape their lineups for the new season.

Similar to how we conducted the schedule previews, we will go through one division at a time, from the best teams in the bigs like the San Francisco Giants and Detroit Tigers, to the bottom of the pile with teams like the Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins.

So grab your ice-cold drink and peanuts and stay tuned for our lineup and roster previews through the month of February.
