New York Jets 2012 Preview
Mark Sanchez or Tim Tebow? That has been the question at the top of everyone’s minds as training camp has kicked off for the New York Jets this year. You can’t escape the coverage on ESPN, which has become never ending, but it does propose an intriguing series of potential events. Will Sanchez rise to the occasion and display the consistency and maturity to rise to a more elite level of NFL quarterback? Or will he wilt under the pressure leading to the Tebow era in East Rutherford?
Either way, the Jets are a headline a day organization especially with Rex Ryan still at the helm. With a questionable offensive attack lacking a top flight wide receiver and running game, the team is held together on the defensive side of the ball. And in a division that features the Tom Brady led New England Patriots and the emerging Buffalo Bills, it is going to be a challenge this year for the green and white in the AFC East.
With a schedule that features games against these divisional rivals as well as games against the Steelers, 49ers and Texans, the Jets have their work cut out for them if they are to return to the playoffs after missing out last year.
