New York Knicks Playoffs

New York Knicks fans, like myself, are banging their heads on the wall right now. After starting the season 18-5 and giving fans hope of a championship run after knocking off the Miami Heat twice, they have played .500 basketball ever since with a record of 20-20. Currently they sit with a record of 38-25 in third place in the Eastern Conference.

That being said, the rest of the way is going to be a challenge for the Knickerbockers. They have been plagued by injuries in recent weeks, with Amar’e Stoudemire having underwent knee surgery and out for probably the remainder of the regular season. Carmelo Anthony has missed several games over the past two weeks with a knee injury that is expected to keep him out for an undetermined amount of time. And their defensive stalwart, Tyson Chandler, is now out with a bruised knee.

Anthony was having a MVP season, currently second in the NBA with a 27.5 points per game scoring average.

With all of these injuries, it’s hard to predict how the Knicks season will shake out. They do have several tough games left on the docket against playoff teams from both conferences, so without their Big Three, it may get ugly.

The Knicks have games left against the Memphis Grizzlies, Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks at home and the Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder and Chicago Bulls on the road – all tough games for sure.
