New York Yankees Players 2013

Despite having a payroll of $198 million, the Yankees failed to reach the World Series after going 95-67 and winning the American League East division title. The Yankees did make it to the playoffs but were swept in the American League Championship Series by the Detroit Tigers after winning a hard-fought five games ALDS matchup against the Baltimore Orioles. 2013 will be interesting for the Yankees as they return the majority of their roster but have stars who are aging rather quickly.

The Yankees did lose Nick Swisher to the Cleveland Indians in free agency and Rafael Soriano to the Washington Nationals.
