There are only two more weeks in the NFL regular season and there are some very close playoff races. Only two teams in the NFC have clinched a spot in the playoffs and the Chicago Bears are the only team in the NFL to clinch a division title. There are eight NFC teams that are fighting for the remaining four playoff spots in the NFC. If your team still has not locked up a spot in the playoffs and you want to know exactly what your team needs in order to make it to the playoffs, check out our detailed explanations below where we list all of the possible scenarios. If your team is already in the playoffs or is likely to make the playoffs we have NFC playoff tickets available now.  We also have a detailed analysis of the AFC playoff race.

NFC Teams that have clinched a playoff berth:

Chicago Bears – The Bears clinched the NFC North with their win against the Vikings on Monday night. The Bears are the first team in the NFL to clinch a division title.

Atlanta Falcons – The Falcons have clinched a spot in the playoffs.  The Falcons need one win or one Saints loss to clinch the NFC South division.

NFC Teams in the playoff hunt:

Philadelphia EaglesThe Eagles will win the NFC East with one win or one Giants loss.  If the Eagles lose both of their last two games they will need either a Giants loss or a Buccaneers loss to clinch a playoff berth.

New York GiantsThe Giants will win the NFC East if  they win their final two games and the Eagles lose their final two games.

The Giants can clinch a wild card spot if one of the following scenarios occurs:

  • A win against the Packers
  • A win against the Redskins and a Bears win against the Packers
  • A win against the Redskins and finishing in a three way tie at 10-6 with the Buccaneers and the Saints

Green Bay PackersThe Bears have already clinched the NFC North division so the Packers only chance at making the playoffs is by clinching a wild card spot. In order to compete for a wild card spot the Packers need one of the following scenarios to occur:

  • A win in both of their last two games
  • A win against the Giants and a Redskins win against the Giants and a Buccaneers loss

New Orleans SaintsThe Saints can still win the NFC South with a win in both of their last two games and two Falcons losses.  The Saints are in a good spot for the wild card race and can clinch the playoffs with one win or a Buccaneers loss.

Tampa Bay BuccaneersThe Buccaneers are out of the NFC South divisional race but still have a slight chance of winning a wild card spot.  The Buccaneers need to win their last two games and need several other factors go their way in order to win a tie breaker.

St. Louis RamsThe Rams can win the NFC West if one of the following scenarios occurs:

  • A win in both of their last two games
  • Seahawks lose both of their last two games and the Cardinals win against the 49ers

The Rams can only make the playoffs by winning the NFC West and are out of the wild card race.

Seattle SeahawksThe Seahawks can win the NFC West if one of the following scenarios occurs:

  • A win in both of their last two games
  • A win against the Rams and one 49ers loss

The Seahawks can only make the playoffs by winning the NFC West and are out of the wild card race.

San Francisco 49ersThe 49ers are still alive and can win the NFC West with two wins and one Seahawks loss.  The 49ers can only make the playoffs by winning the NFC West and are out of the wild card race.
