This past weekend brought great NFL playoff action and it looks like that trend will continue with the NFC and AFC Championship games this weekend. The road to Super Bowl XLVII will take its course through both Foxborough, Massachusetts and Atlanta, GA. So start planning your Super Bowl party because the big game is now one step closer.

NFL NFC Championship Game 2013

In the NFC matchup, televised nationally on FOX, the San Francisco 49ers, after thrashing the Green Bay Packers with a breakout performance by quarterback Colin Kaepernick (263 passing yards and 181 running yards), will head across the nation to Atlanta, where they will take on Matt Ryan and the Falcons at the Georgia Dome. The Falcons fought off the upstart Seattle Seahawks, who stormed back to take the lead in the final minutes before the Falcons kicked a winning field goal with seconds remaining. It is going to be a great matchup between two NFC powers, both of whom many picked to be here at the start of the season. We’ll see if the 49ers’ defense can stop the passing attack of the Falcons and if the Falcons can contain Kaepernick, whose performance last weekend is being considered one of the best in NFL playoff history.

NFL AFC Championship Game 2013

Ray Lewis’ career will live to see at least one more game – one more huge NFL playoff game that is. The Baltimore Ravens, after surprising Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in Denver during the divisional round last week on a last-second field goal, will head to Foxborough, where they will take on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, who defeated the Houston Texans easily last weekend. Gillette Stadium will be rocking as the game is a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship Game between the two teams. The game will be televised nationally on CBS.
