NFL Football Schedule 2013

The NFL officially released the full 2013 schedule for all 32 teams back on April 18 and fans everywhere are most likely circling key divisional rival games on the calendar, budgeting for those Thursday, Sunday or Monday game day parties with friends and stocking up on fresh new gear of their favorite team in anticipation for the start of the 2013 NFL season.

The season officially kicks off on Thursday, September 5 when the Super Bowl Champions, the Baltimore Ravens, will take on the Denver Broncos while on the road. As for the rest of the schedule, let us all take a look at 10 of the highlight games for the coming season – a little reading to wet your appetite before training camp begins this summer.

Week 1

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New York Jets – Darrelle Revis returns to New York after being traded in the offseason to a hungry Tampa Bay team in exchange for a 1st and 4th round pick. Will Revis pick off the Jets QB, whomever that might be – Mark Sanchez? Geno Smith? David Garrard?

Green Bay Packers @ San Francisco 49ers – In a rematch of the NFC Divisional Playoffs last season, the Packers head into San Francisco led by Colin Kaepernick, who simply picked apart the Packers defense. It will be interesting to see if this game is a repeat of that performance.

Week 2

Denver Broncos @ New York Giants – The battle of the Manning brothers. Enough said here.

Week 3

Kansas City Chiefs @ Philadelphia Eagles – Andy Reid returns to Philadelphia as the head coach of the Chiefs.

Week 6

New Orleans Saints @ New England Patriots – In was is destined to be a high scoring affair, Drew Brees leads the Saints into Foxborough to take on the Patriots and Tom Brady.

Week 7

Denver Broncos @ Indianapolis Colts – Peyton Manning returns to the franchise and city he ran for so many years, but this time in an opposing uniform. Past takes on the future for Colts fans as they see how young QB Andrew Luck stands up against their dearly departed legend.
