Fans Flock to See Frank Beamer’s Final Home Game
After Frank Beamer announced on Sunday his coming retirement, ticket prices for the November 21 UNC-VT game immediately jumped in median listing price from $79 to $211 in a 24-hour period. The game will be Beamer’s last home game, held at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, VA, and fans are eager to see him coach at home one more time.

Since the announcement, prices have risen another 27 percent to $267. The UNC – VT game has an average resale price of $63, which would make this their second-most expensive game of the season, behind their September 7 matchup against Ohio State that averaged $261. Beamer has not only garnered respect at Virginia Tech but with their rivals as well. The Hokies’ November 28 matchup at Virginia, what will be Beamer’s last regular season game, had a median listing price of $94 on Saturday. That figure has since jumped 22 percent to $115.
