The North Carolina Tar Heels, winners of five national championships and who currently have 17 players in the NBA, head into the 2012-2013 season having lost four of the five starters from last season’s Elite Eight team.

With a strong recruiting crop and returning sophomores and juniors from last season, the Tar Heels look to take on North Carolina State and Duke for ACC supremacy and for bragging rights in North Carolina at the collegiate basketball level.

The 2012-2013 season schedule for the Tar Heels features non-conference games against Indiana (#1), UNLV (#18) and Texas in addition to the tough ACC games against North Carolina State (#6), Duke (#8) and Florida State (#25).
