Oakland Athletics Players 2013

The Oakland Athletics were the surprise team in all of baseball last season, as most folks were not expecting them to do what they did, which was stealing the American League West crown from the Texas Rangers and making the playoffs. They went on to lose a tough ALDS to the Tigers in five games, but they have a ton to build upon entering the 2013 campaign.

The Athletics’ lineup was made up of a relatively unknown group, several of who had solid years. You have Yoenis Cespedes, the Cuban defector, who finished with 23 HR, 82 RBI and a .292 batting average, and Josh Reddick, who finished with 32 HR and 85 RBI as two examples. As for the pitching end of things, the Athletics were led by Jarrod Parker and Tommy Milone, who each finished the season with 13 victories.
