You might have heard but the Orlando Magic have a major roster void from last year. Dwight Howard that is, who was sent off to the Lakers in a blockbuster deal this offseason after a continuous back and forth of “should I stay or should I go now?” for the past two years.

With their big man and superstar gone, they are going to have a tough time competing in the Eastern Conference this year. Their roster features the talents of Glen “Big Baby” Davis, Jameer Nelson, Hedo Turkoglu, Al Harrington and JJ Redick – none of whom are superstars but are quality basketball players. Fans can expect a decline from the .561 winning percentage they posted last year.

The Magic’s schedule kicks off November 2 at home against the Denver Nuggets. The Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs all visit the Amway Center in November. As for the Lakers and the return of Dwight Howard, that games takes place on March 12. The Magic close out the year on the road versus the Miami Heat. Who knows if they will be in playoff contention at that time.
