San Diego Chargers 2012 Preview
The San Diego Chargers, who finished the 2011 campaign with an 8-8 record and lost a tie-breaker to the Denver Broncos for the AFC West crown, look to rebound and make the playoffs this year under the leadership of coach Norv Turner.
Their offense is guided by the dynamic Philip Rivers at quarterback who has a receiving core that features Robert Meachem, Malcolm Floyd and tight end Antonio Gates. The ground attack is led by running back Ryan Mathews, who finished last year with over 1,000 yards rushing in his second year. On the defensive side of the ball, the Chargers have veteran Takeo Spikes at inside linebacker and Eric Weddle at free safety, who had 7 interceptions last year.
