Seattle Seahawks 2012 Preview
The Seattle Seahawks, who finished 7-9 last year and missed out on the playoffs, look to see how the additions they made in the offseason can propel them forward in the NFC West. During the offseason, the Seahawks brought in both Sidney Rice and Terrell Owens to bolster their receiving core, which also consists of Braylon Edwards, Doug Baldwin and Deon Butler. The offense is directed by quarterback Matt Flynn, a new addition as well from the Miami Dolphins, and features Kellen Winslow II as tight end and a running game featuring Pro Bowler Marshawn Lynch.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Seahawks have Jason Jones at defensive tackle and Marcus Trufant at cornerback.
The Seahawks’ 2012 schedule features games against the 49ers, Rams and Cardinals for intense divisional play as well as games outside the AFC West versus the likes of the Packers, Patriots, Bears and Bills.
