With Boston leading the series 2-1 after their Game 3 2-0 win, the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals continued with Game 4 on Wednesday June 19, at 8:00 PM ET in Boston. The two Original Six teams battled it out in the TD Garden for the Bruins second home game of the series.
Predictions had the Bruins winning Game 4 to take a 3-1 series, but it was the Blackhawks that came out on top on Wednesday, evening out the series 2-2 with their 6-5 win in OT. This game was practically a track meet on the ice, as the two teams scored only one less goal than they had combined in the first 3 (11 vs. 12.)
The winning goal was shot by Chicago defenseman Brent Seabrook at the 9:51 mark of overtime.
With the series now tied at two games each, the Blackhawks and Bruins head back to Chicago for Game 5 on Saturday, June 22.
