After a season where they finished with the fourth highest point total in the league, the Boston Bruins have continued to experience success in the 2018-19 season, having won 10 out of their first 17 games.

Even though the first quarter of the season is almost done, the Bruins have some fantastic matchups awaiting them rest of the way. We’ve highlighted five of their best games left on this season’s schedule.

Boston Bruins vs. Chicago Blackhawks (Winter Classic)

January 1 | 1 PM

Two of the original six teams facing off in the Winter Classic – it doesn’t get much better than this. The Bruins are set to travel to South Bend, IN, to take on the Chicago Blackhawks in an outdoor game in front of over 77,000 fans on New Year’s Day. This will be the third time that the Bruins have participated in the NHL’s premier regular season game, after they won in the 2010 Winter Classic in overtime and lost to the Canadiens in the 2016 iteration.

In addition to the spectacle of outdoor hockey, the Bruins and Blackhawks have a history between themselves as the two franchises faced off against each other in the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals. This matchup will surely be one of the highlights of the entire regular season. SHOP TICKETS

Boston Bruins vs. Montreal Canadiens

January 14 | 7:30 PM

Just two weeks after the Winter Classic, the Bruins have another marquee matchup on their schedule as they will face off against their bitter rivals, the Montreal Canadiens. The Bruins and Canadiens share one of the most intense rivalries in all of sports, which makes sense given the fact that the two teams have played each other more times than any other two teams in the history of the NHL.

Boston was able to sweep the season series against the Habs last year, winning all four times the teams matched up against each other. Montreal will surely be looking to get one over on the Bruins when the two teams face off early in 2019. SHOP TICKETS

Boston Bruins vs. Washington Capitals

February 3 | 12:30 PM

In early February, the Bruins have the honor of facing off against the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals. NBC has chosen this game to be aired as a National TV game, which makes sense due to the overall talent level on both squads.

The Capitals have been a bit of a bogey team for the Bruins over the past decade, having knocked the Bruins out in the first round of the 2011 Playoffs. Boston will surely be looking for revenge in this game, seeing that the Capitals beat them three times last year. SHOP TICKETS

Boston Bruins vs. Vegas Golden Knights

February 20 | 7 PM

After making one of the most improbable runs in the history of the sport, the Vegas Golden Knights have experienced a bit of a sophomore slump so far in the 2018-19 season. With that being said, the Knights should eventually bounce back as they have the same core roster that they did when they made the Stanley Cup Finals last season.

The Bruins are set to travel to Nevada in late February to take on the Knights in what will be one of the most sought-after away game tickets on their schedule this season. This matchup should be a high-scoring affair, and it has been selected as a national TV game and will be broadcast on NBCSN. SHOP TICKETS

Boston Bruins vs. Tampa Bay Lightning

February 28 | 7:30 PM

Just eight days after traveling out west to face the Knights, the Bruins will be on the road in Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning have one of the deepest rosters in the league, featuring the likes of 100-point scorer Nikita Kucherov and two-time league-leading goal scorer Steven Stamkos.

This Tampa Bay squad has yet to put all the pieces together and win the Stanley Cup, but they’ve been a perennial threat in the Eastern Conference, making the Conference Finals in two out of the last three seasons. Interestingly, the Bruins were one of the teams that Tampa beat on their way to the Conference Finals last season, which means Boston will likely have this game circled on their calendars as a great opportunity to get some revenge.
