While this week there may not be much variety in sporting events going on, the ones that are happening are definitely worth watching. We’re slowly creeping our way into the NBA Finals, and it’s been interesting to see these teams progress here in Houston. Houston Baptist Huskies vs Incarnate Word Cardinals @ Sharp Gym

This Wednesday watch the Houston Baptist Huskies play against the Incarnate Word Cardinals. According to ESPN’s Basketball Power Index, the current percentage for matchup is 76.3 percent for the Houston Baptist Huskies and 23.7 percent for the Incarnate Word Cardinals. Looking into the previous games of HBU, it looks like since November they have only won one game with a score of 111 – 107, so it’ll be interesting to see how this one plays out for them. CONCACAF Womens Olympic Qualifying (Costa Rica vs Panama, USA vs Haiti) @ BBVA Stadium

This event is part of the Group A and will begin with Costa Rica playing against Panama and USA against Haiti. Dallas Mavericks at Houston Rockets @ Toyota Center

The Dallas Mavericks had lost the 2006 NBA finals to the Miami Heat and are itching for some redemption this year. Watch the Mavericks play against the Houston Rockets this Friday at the Toyota Center. The Mavericks won the game against the Houston Rockets on November 24 with a score of 137-123. Luka Doncic scored 41 of those points and they stayed in the lead for the entire game, with James Harden only scoring 32 for Houston. This made Harden question what the Rockets may have done wrong. This is a game you won’t want to miss as the Mavericks continue pushing forward.

New Orleans Pelicans at Houston Rockets @ Toyota Center

Grab tickets to watch the New Orleans Pelicans play against the Houston Rockets this Sunday at the Toyota Center. For this season so far, these teams have played three games against each other. The New Orleans Pelicans won the most recent game on December 29 with a score of 127-112. The Houston Rockets have won the other two with scores of 122-116 and 126-123. In this last game, Lonzo Hall managed to score seven 3-pointers, which helped the Pelicans pass the Houston Rockets. This was the Pelicans fourth straight victory for their season. Haiti will be playing against Costa Rica and the USA team will be playing against Panama. The first match will start at 4:45pm and the USA vs Panama game starts at 7:30pm.
