Tropicana Field Events

Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays and also known as “The Trop”, opened in 1990 but became the home of The Rays in their inaugural season of 1998. It is currently the only domed stadium in Major League Baseball which is not retractable.

In 1999, the venue played host to the NCAA Final Four which saw the Connecticut Huskies beat the Duke Blue Devils 77–74 for the championship. Since then, there has been no NCAA basketball game played at Tropicana Field. (source: Wikipedia)

Other than the above, the ballpark has been exclusively used for Rays home games over the past fifteen years.
