Toronto Raptors Details

Established in 1995, the Toronto Raptors have come into the NBA and been nothing short of exciting. The team has had some of the most fun to watch players in the league for years, and have seen their fair share of success thanks to some of those players. And with Toronto being one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Raptors fans have been in for a treat both on and off the court.

Of course, no mention of the Toronto Raptors is complete without remembering Vince Carter, who played for the team in his prime. Carter's long career was best known for all of the high flying he did in Toronto, where the Raptors established themselves as a solid playoff team during an era where Eastern Conference powers like the Knicks and Pacers were not going to make it easy to do so.

The pairing of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan were another great group of players in franchise history. Toronto and its rabid fanbase were regular postseason competitors in the 2010s with those two perimeter players leading the charge. Raptors fans were treated to several intense playoff battles with LeBron James-led teams during the Lowry and DeRozan era.

Toronto has racked up some rivalries during their relatively brief NBA history, including the aforementioned tilts with the Knicks and Pacers. The Cleveland Cavaliers were a huge rival of the Raptors as well, as the city of Toronto repeatedly went toe-to-toe with the legendary LeBron James and his supporting cast.

While the Vince Carter era may have been the most fun period in franchise history, the 2010s were the most successful. The Lowry and DeRozan Raptors were on top of their division on multiple occasions, even sitting in the top seed in the Eastern Conference during the 2017-2018 season.
