Born in South Africa, the momentum of Noah’s stand-up comedy career led him to become the Senior International Correspondent for The Daily Show in 2014. He was a rousing success, eventually taking over as the host when Jon Stewart retired. The show has continued to receive high ratings since Trevor Noah took over, and in 2018, Time magazine named him as one of the “100 most influential people in the world.”

Trevor Noah has also appeared in film and television, including a 2017 appearance on Nashville. Perhaps most notably, Noah made a cameo appearance on the box office smash Black Panther. In 2016, Trevor Noah released Born a Crime, which received critical acclaim by major book reviewers and reached #1 on The New York Times Bestseller List. The book also reached the top of several other booklists, and a film adaptation is in the works. Like his stand-up routines and his Daily Show monologues, Trevor Noah’s writing is witty and bold. In 2017 he earned two NAACP Image Awards for Born a Crime: one for Outstanding Literary Work-Autobiography, and one for Outstanding Literary Work-Debut Author. Target Audience

Trevor Noah deals with mature content and uses strong language in his shows, but more politically savvy, socially conscious 16+ teens will enjoy his show. Parents should note that many venues that host comedians have strict 18+ (or 21+) guidelines, so before you check the specific venue rules when bringing older teens.
