Director of
Communications

SeatGeek turns the exasperating process of buying tickets into a delightful experience. We are obsessive about pleasing users. As Director of Communications, you'll embody this focus on the ticket buyer. You will act as a public face of SeatGeek. We're looking for someone who's fluent with social media, writes engagingly, can analyze ticketing data, and can confidently pitch reporters. But that's not all...we're also looking for someone who feels his or her job isn't complete until SeatGeek is a household name.

Primary Responsibilities
- Refine and execute our existing social media strategy and develop ambitious projects to reach new customers
- Slice and dice ticketing data to unearth newsworthy trends and help reporters understand why this data is front-page news
- Articulate to journalists, television producers, and bloggers why SeatGeek will transform the way Americans buy tickets
- Develop compelling content for our blog and ensure that everything published by SeatGeek maintains a high standard
Required skills & experience
- Social media pro (blogging, Twitter, Facebook, etc)
- Excellent oral communication skills; completely comfortable on the phone, speaking in public, and presenting to groups
- Strong writer who can compose compelling content in an authentic, casual voice (as opposed to "corporate speak")
- Energetic, comfortable with autonomy, and perseverent
- Deep knowledge of media process and how to work with editors and writers is a plus
