Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone to take the lead on refining our predictive model and expanding it into new ticket verticals. The ideal candidate will be a wizard with econometrics. In addition to working tirelessly to boost our accuracy by a percentage point or two wherever possible, he/she will also hunt through our data for cool, newsworthy trends to push out to the media.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with SeatGeek's proprietary dataset to expand our predictive model into new ticket verticals
  • Optimize current model, trying new inputs and forms to boost accuracy where possible
  • As SeatGeek's "Ticketologist," identify cool, newsworthy trends in our data
  • Interact with the media discussing these trends

Required skills & experience

  • Graduate degree in statistics and/or econometrics
    Note: An economics degree that does not have a focus on econometrics is not sufficient
  • Comprehensive econometric toolset
  • Comfortable using STATA or similar statistical tools
  • Comfortable interacting with media when necessary
