A Winning Combination: SeatGeek and Rangers F.C. Expand Partnership

Rangers F.C. chose SeatGeek as its primary ticketer following an extensive review of the UK Ticketing market

SeatGeek, the high-growth technology platform transforming the live event experience for fans, teams and venues, today announced an extension of its partnership with Scottish professional football club Rangers F.C. The deal makes SeatGeek the club’s Official Primary Ticketer, with the new ticket-buying platform set to launch ahead of the Season Ticket Renewals campaign in spring 2024.

“We are delighted to enhance our partnership with SeatGeek as our new digital ticketing platform,” said James Bisgrove, Chief Executive of Rangers F.C. “We have been aware of supporter feedback around our ticketing platform for some time and have been working hard to put in place a solution that will drastically improve the user experience of supporters moving forward. Last year, we conducted a rigorous tender process and carefully evaluated needs, both internally and externally, from supporters. The comprehensive search led us to SeatGeek, and we are looking toward providing our loyal and dedicated fanbase with an enhanced and slick experience.”

Rangers F.C. chose to extend its partnership with SeatGeek due to the company’s robust and user-friendly backend technology, coupled with its proven success in partnering with prestigious sports teams and organizations throughout the UK. SeatGeek also shares Rangers’ vision for advancing digital ticketing and will work in lockstep with the club to improve the ticket-buying and match-day ticketing experience.

“Whilst we have worked with Rangers F.C. via their Corporate VIP and Events ticketing requirements over the past few years, we are absolutely delighted to extend our partnership to encompass all Primary Ticketing services at Ibrox,” said Peter Joyce, Managing Director, EMEA at SeatGeek. “Rangers boasts an incredibly loyal fanbase and a rich history, and we eagerly anticipate the introduction of our cutting-edge digital ticketing platform ahead of next season. We can’t wait to get started on the rollout of the new ticketing platform, which will commence in the coming months.”

SeatGeek has netted remarkable expansion across football since stepping onto the pitch in the primary ticketing market. Today, SeatGeek’s UK portfolio includes nearly half of the English Premier League (EPL), including Manchester City, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Sheffield United, Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion, and clubs across the EFL Championship, including Leicester City, Ipswich Town, Stoke City, Leeds United and Middlesbrough. Across the pond, the company works with several clubs within Major League Soccer (MLS), the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and the United Soccer League (USL). Late last year, SeatGeek also announced its new role as the USL’s Official Ticketing Partner.
