The History of NASCAR
NASCAR is an American auto racing company that is best known for stock-car racing. Stock car racing in the US originated in bootlegging during Prohibition, when drivers ran bootleg whiskey. Drivers would modify their vehicles to evade the police. Fellow bootleggers would race each other wherever they could, highways, dirt tracks, pastures, and stock car racing began to take shape. Now, with millions of fans NASCAR is an integral part of American motorsports.
