The Astros' home ballpark, Minute Maid Park, has been home to the team since 2000 and is nestled right in downtown Houston. 

Minute Maid Park features a retractable roof for those hot Texas summer days. The roof can open or close in approximately 20 minutes, providing a versatile game environment and ensuring the action continues regardless of the weather. The stadium also features an iconic “Train,” a beloved symbol of the Astros. The locomotive engine above the left-field wall comes to life and emits a resounding train whistle whenever an Astros player hits a home run. 

Regarding refreshments, Minute Maid Park showcases diverse culinary delights to satisfy your appetite. For a taste of Houston, don’t miss out on the delicious Tex-Mex options like El Tiempo or the savory barbeque dishes like Butcher, which has an 18-hour smoked brisket. Don’t forget to quench your thirst with a cold beverage from one of the many vendors offering everything from ice-cold beers to refreshing lemonades. 

Minute Maid Park is a cashless venue and has a strict bag policy. Fans are allowed to bring 16”x16”x8” or smaller bags, and no backpacks are allowed. Be sure to read the full bag policy and list of prohibited items for a seamless gameday entry.

Tailgating is prohibited at Minute Maid Park. If you want to hang out before the game, we recommend hanging out at a nearby bar or restaurant and taking public transportation or ride shares to the venue before the game. Gates open two hours before the first pitch.
