Known for its near-perfect year-round weather, San Diego is the perfect city for an outdoor concert or sporting event. During the spring and summer residents and visitors flock to Petco Park to see the Padres play. The stadium is located right near the Gaslamp Quarter, the cultural and historical center of the city. During Sundays in the fall you are likely to find locals headed to the northern edge of the city to take in a Chargers game at Qualcomm Stadium. Those looking for music and theater should check out Observatory North Park and Spreckels Theater inside the city limit, or make the trip to Chula Vista to see some of the bigger artists perform at Sleep Train Amphitheatre.
