2/28/13: The Pacers were involved in a brawl on Tuesday night, but it was not like the "Malice in the Palace" where players started fighting the fans. No, this was little more than a shoving match between physical teams: the Indiana Pacers and the Golden State Warriors. It started when Roy Hibbard and David Lee began pushing each other after a missed shot. Other players joined in and Hibbard was ejected. The media made a big deal about, but this is a first period in a hockey game. Hibbard will probably face suspension and others may get fines.
2/21/13: The Pacers are showing that they may be the only team that can match up the Miami Heat. Last season, the Pacers were able to steal a game against the Heat in the playoffs, after easily ousting the Dwight Howard-less Magic in the first round. This year they are out to prove that was no fluke. They look ready for the playoffs right now after destroying the New York Knicks 125-91 in the first game back from the All-Star Break. Paul George scored 27 points as the team moved closer to the number 2 seed in the East.
5/31/12 - It looks like Indiana Pacers team president and reigning Executive of the Year Larry Bird will not be leaving the team. After the Pacers were eliminated by the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the focus in Indiana turned to Bird's future with the team. Bird won Executive of the Year after putting together a balanced roster consisting of Paul George, Danny Granger, David West and Roy Hibbert. Bird has recently expressed interest to return to his role as team president. With Bird continuing to put together the roster, it would not be surprising to see the Pacers continue to build off of this year's playoff performance
5/25/12 The Indiana Pacers gave the Miami Heat a run for their money early on in their Eastern Conference semifinals series, but Dwyane Wade and LeBron James proved to be too much for the young Pacers. On Thursday night, hoping to force a Game 7 in Miami, the Pacers kept the game tight most of the way, and the lead changed hands multiple times in the second half. However, Dwyane Wade's double-double of 41 points and 10 rebounds pushed the Heat to a double- digit lead late in the 4th quarter and the Pacers fell 105-93. David West led Indiana with 24 points and 5 rebounds.
5/18/12 The Indiana Pacers are certainly taking advantage of the Chris Bosh- less Miami Heat as they took a 2-1 series lead with a convincing 94-75 win over Miami in front of their home crowd at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Game 3. The crowd was decked out in all gold with t-shirts that read "Gold Swagger." And swagger is exactly what the Pacers displayed, as they shut down both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. George Hill led the Pacers with 20 points, 5 assists and 2 rebounds and Roy Hibbert absolutely dominated the paint in Bosh's absence as he scored 19 points and pulled down 18 rebounds.

2011 Off Season
The Indiana Pacers made the playoffs for the first time since 2006 while going 20-18 in their last 38 games under interim head coach Frank Vogel. He has now been hired as head coach and Larry "The Legend" Bird is confident in the Pacers direction. With one of the youngest teams in the NBA and rising stars such as Danny Grander, T.J Ford and Darren Collison they have the makings of a future force in the NBA. They drafted Kawhi Leonard whose athleticism was potentially unmatched in the NBA draft and Davis Bertans who is a tall forward who can shoot. Both picks are gambles but will hopefully be able to be productive off the bench and could possibly work their way into the rotation. Hopefully the lockout doesn't have an effect on the development of this young talent.
