Events in Chicago Details

The biggest city in the Midwest is home to some of the most recognizable stadiums and arenas in sports. Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, was built in 1914 and is often referred to as one of the most unique ballparks in baseball, while the United Center hosts both the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks, and is the site of more than 200 events a year. On the South Side of the city, U.S. Cellular Field is home to the Windy City’s other baseball team, the Chicago White Sox. For those who enjoy winter weather, a trip to Soldier Field to see the Chicago Bears is a must. Music and theatre fans have great options, too: the Chicago Theatre, Cadillac Palace Theatre, Aragon Ballroom, and House of Blues Chicago are all world class venues that attract top notch talent and are easily accessible via the “L” train. Of course, if festivals are your thing, the Lollapalooza Music Festival in Grant Park is a can’t-miss event held in Chicago every summer.
