The NCAA has reached its Final Four, and boy oh boy, has it been a wild ride! The NCAA Sweet 16 and Elite Eight rounds were action-packed and full of surprises.

For the first time in NCAA history, none of the four No. 1 seeds advanced past the Sweet 16. Instead, the last four teams standing are San Diego St, Miami, UConn and Florida Atlantic. The teams will now compete in the Final Four, with the ultimate goal of claiming the NCAA National Championship title.

It’s been an exciting tournament so far, and the stage is set for a thrilling conclusion to the March Madness schedule. As for who will come out on top, we’ll have to wait and see. But first, let’s recap the insane upsets and highlights from the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight that led us to this very moment.

NCAA Sweet 16 and Elite Eight results

With all four teams heading into the Final Four being underdogs, we’ve got a lot of upsets and highlights to cover from the previous Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games! The Sweet 16 games knocked No. 1 seeds Alabama and Houston out of the tournament, and they weren’t the only ones to take a hit.

Three of the four Elite Eight games were extremely close, with San Diego St. narrowly beating Creighton by only one point (57-56). Miami also came out on top over No. 2 seed Texas (88-80) after a massive rally of 35 points in the last 12 minutes of the game. Florida Atlantic secured a win over Kansas St. (79-76) thanks to a three-point shot by Mike Forrest in the last 17 seconds of the game.

This year marks the first time that Miami, San Diego St., and Florida Atlantic have made it to the Final Four, and fans everywhere are thrilled to see these underdogs team make it this far. And let’s not forget about UConn, who dominated Gonzaga (82-54) in the Sweet 16 and Arkansas (88-65) in the Elite Eight, making them the first team since 1996 to win both semifinal games by 20 plus points!

It’s always exciting to see underdog teams make it to the Finals, and this year is no exception! These teams have shown that they have what it takes to compete with the best, and their passion and determination have captured the hearts of fans everywhere.
