The pregame party

Instead of tailgating in a parking lot, many Saints fans head to Champions Square pregame. Located right outside the stadium, the open-air plaza has everything a fan could want - food, drinks and tons of entertainment. But don’t hang around too late or you will miss the player introductions and opening kickoff inside.

"Get there early and enjoy live music, food trucks, drinks, and more in Champions Square right outside the Superdome!!! It’s a pre party for the game!!"

The full fan experience

Saints fans had a number of recommendations for first-time attendees, from wearing black and gold, to sitting in the 600 level to experience the loudest fans. As for food, in most NFL stadiums you will find hot dogs, popcorn and nachos, but in the Superdome the most recommended food is a local favorite, jambalaya.

"The New Orleans Saints fans are die-hard, loyal, and extremely devoted persons. Come “dressed” and prepared to support and root for “dem” Saints!"

Prepare to scream

Few cities love a sports team as much as New Orleans loves the Saints, and Sundays are a chance for the city to come together and yell. From the pregame chant before kickoff to the final whistle, it will be loud. Many fans surveyed offered a single piece of advice - bring ear plugs!

"The crowd is louder than you can imagine, and they know when to make noise and when to be quiet. If it is a big game and the score is tight, you can’t even hear yourself think when the Saints are on defense."
