Detroit native rapper Danny Brown and Queens-born MC Action Bronson have announced plans for a co-headlining tour to kick off this September. Dubbed “2 High 2 Die,” Bronson & Brown stop in Calgary, AL; Vancouver, BC; Milwaukee, WI; Toronto, ON; and more along the 12-date North American trek. The tour is in promotion for each of the duo’s respective albums: Danny Brown‘s sophomore release, entitled OLD, will drop this fall on Fool’s Gold Records, while Action Bronson‘s just released his major label debut, the Saab Stories EP, and is currently in preparation for his next mixtape, Blue Chips 2.
Action Bronson (born Arian Asllani) started his rap career not in MC battles, but in the kitchen. A former fire-flame gourmet chef, Bronson loves to rap about food in his tracks (hungry, anyone?). He even hosted his own online cooking show, Action in the Kitchen. Daniel Dewan Sewell, aka Danny Brown, is known for his distinct voice and unique style. His 2011 album, XXX, received crazy critical acclaim (including Spin’s distinction of being the number-one hip hop album of the years) despite only being released for free online.
