SeatGeek Brings on Mike Shane as EVP of Enterprise Partnerships

SeatGeek has appointed Mike Shane as its new Executive Vice President of Enterprise Partnerships, as the company continues to expand its growth-focused strategy. Shane, a seasoned sports industry executive and Sports Business Journal 40 Under 40 winner, brings over a decade of experience leading revenue-driving initiatives at organizations including the Washington Nationals, Philadelphia Flyers, and Wells Fargo Center—a top five highest-grossing arena in the country during his tenure.

Mike joins Jeff Ianello, SeatGeek’s EVP of North American Sales, to support SeatGeek’s expanding client roster and will report to Russ D'Souza, SeatGeek's Co-Founder and President of Supply, rounding out an all-star team of SBJ 40 Under 40 winners. In his role, Mike will drive the growth of SeatGeek's strategic enterprise partnerships, helping shape the development roadmap to fuel ticketing innovation.

“Mike has sat in the chair that our current and future clients are in, and knows the challenges they face as well as their ambitions,” said D'Souza. “His deep industry expertise and proven track record of driving growth through innovation make him the perfect addition to our team."

“For a long time, I’ve had ambitions of impacting our industry at a macro level, and this role will allow me to do just that,” said Shane. “The ticketing function in sports and entertainment desperately needs to innovate to meet evolving consumer demands, and SeatGeek simply has the best technology platform out there. I’ve spent over two decades working on various ticketing systems across multiple leagues. It’s clear to me that SeatGeek operates on a different level, continuously innovating, and I’m excited to help push the boundaries even further.”

Earlier this year, SeatGeek added the National Women’s Soccer League’s Utah Royals, along with the National Hockey League’s Utah Hockey Club, to their growing roster of partners across sports and entertainment.
