Bryson Tiller Details
Bryson Tiller is an American singer, songwriter, and rapper who was born in January of 1993 in Louisville, KY. While Tiller has found great success, it wasn’t always an easy road. When he was just four-years-old his mother died, so he and his younger brother were then raised by his grandmother. It wasn’t until he was 15-years-old that Tiller tried his hand at rapping and singing.
In 2011, Bryson Tiller released his first mixtape, “Killer Instinct Vol.1”, complete with 21 songs. Two years later he dropped out of school, taking a break from music to provide for his young daughter while working at Papa John's Pizza and UPS. Oh, how far Tiller’s come from those days. His story truly is one of hope and inspiration for people worldwide. With enough passion and determination, you can achieve your dreams – just like Bryson Tiller has.
Tiller found some success after uploading his debut single “Don't” to his SoundCloud account in 2014. He didn’t have a fancy record label or producer; rather, he uploaded this song on his own accord and soon grabbed the attention of music industry professionals. In May 2015, the song was made available on iTunes and it peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. That summer Tiller was signed to RCA Records.
One year after uploading his single to SoundCloud, Tiller released his debut studio album, “Trapsoul.” The album reached No. 8 on the US Billboard 200. His success only grew from there. In 2016, Tiller made his first television appearance on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers. He’s also picked up a number of awards, including the iHeartRadio Music Award for Hip-Hop Song of the Year in 2018 and the Soul Train Music Award for Best Collaboration in 2017.
