Sights to See
Mets fans highly recommend taking the time to check out the Jackie Robinson Rotunda, which is a beautiful tribute to number 42 himself and a nice nod to his Brooklyn ties. Be sure to check out an inning or two from Shea Bridge, fans say it’s a unique way to watch the game as long as it’s not too crowded.
"Citi Field is a great experience and the Jackie Robinson rotunda is a must see at the main gate."
Shake Shack or Pat Lefreida
Mets fans were pretty evenly divided between Shake Shack and Pat Lefreida’s Steak Sandwich - so you can’t go wrong with either of these New York classics. Warning that the lines for both of these stands can get pretty long, so head over early to make sure you don’t miss out.
"Get there early if you want the most popular food, Shake Shack has a super long line but is worth the wait "
Mr. Met
The Mets’ mascot, Mr. Met, was introduced in 1963 and has since become a fan favorite mascot across the entire MLB. He was inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame in 2007 and Forbes listed Mr. Met as America’s Favorite Mascot in 2012. You can find Mr. Met photo ready at Fan Fest in center field.
"I can’t miss seeing Mr. Met the mascot. Love him!"
