The Moth comes to Broadway!

Join us for an evening of true stories told live on Broadway as five storytellers, including Hadestown actor André De Shields, author Victor Levenstein, journalist and human rights activist Tiq Milan, Staten Island Poet Laureate Marguerite María Rivas and more take to the stage to share their stories: Emotional rescues, saving graces, and twists of fate.

Hosted by Moth Storyteller Jon Goode.

Directed by Catherine Burns and Sarah Austin Jenness.

“Stories that attest to the startling varieties and travails of human experience, and the shared threads of love, loss, fear and kindness that connect us.” –Michiko Kukutani, New York Times

What is The Moth?

The Moth is true stories, told live and without notes. Since 1997, we’ve celebrated the ability of true, personal storytelling to illuminate both the diversity and commonality of human experience. Our work allows people all over the world and from all walks of life–astronauts, students, a dental hygienist, a hotdog eating champion, a mechanic, exonerated prisoners, veterans, Nobel laureates and everyone in between–to share their stories on stage in front of a live audience.

Through live shows, storytelling workshops, a podcast, Peabody Award-winning Radio Hour, and New York Times Best Selling books, The Moth brings the power of personal storytelling to millions of people each year—creating community and building empathy around the world.

The Moth’s fourth book, How To Tell A Story: The Essential Guide to Memorable Storytelling from The Moth, comes out on April 26, 2022. Learn more at themoth.org.
